I make it a point to carry a book around with me anywhere I go, as any self-respecting bibliophile would, which of course makes Olympia Le-Tan my new fave designer. Now I can carry a book in a book, seriously.
The bag line, aptly named "You Can't Judge a Book by its' Cover", is book/bag upon book/bag of well-loved and famous classics, many my personal favorites.
So far (in my knowledge anyway) only Clemence Posey and Natalie Portman have been photographed with these clutches.

MISS MEDDLESOME (to her mamma).--Ah! We have now discovered the secret or her gracefully draped dresses, which have been the envy or our lives. Look! She has HALL'S BAZAR FORM. We shall send for one at once! It can be adjusted to fit either of us.
MISS FASHION PLATE (soliloquising).-The effect Is simply charming. It would have been Impossible to produce this result without HALL'S BAZAR PORTABLE FORM. I can now make over and drape my own dresses and not become worn out standing for the dressmaker. This Form was a happy thought, and is worth more than Its weight In gold to ladies easily fatigued by standing.
Delineator Magazine - 1888 Pattern for a Donkey
This is a very realistic looking donkey!
"The parts are joined by seams which are so curved as to produce "a fine figger of a donkey"."

Baby Food Jars!
Husband (totally stole that word from Sydney. She's my friend... ha ha) has been telling me I'm a hoarder. I don't believe him. And when I found this project over at LDS Craft Project, I nearly died! I have had issues throwing away those perfectly perfect glass baby jars. I could see some sort of DIY project... I just hadn't thought of one! And well folks, now I don't have to! Check out the site, they've got an awesome tutorial!
Valentines Day Calendar Countdown.
I'm just a little bit late... oh well, it's still a good idea!
Love actually has created a V-Day calendar countdown, and the ideas are so cute!! These ideas couldn't be simpler. They are cheap and quick. In the end, it's the thought that counts. It's saying, "baby I totally thought about you today". We can do that right?!
Family Home Evening Ideas
You're kiddin' me. This is way too cute. I just found one of my new favorite bloggers... well she found me which makes it even cooler! Her name is Gillian and she's super cute. Check her out over at Kevin and Gillian. This little scribd dealio, is new to me. I'm not exactly sure how it works. But essentially, you just download the pdf files and print them out. Aren't they cute? Take a looksie for me will ya?!

Delineator Magazine - 1888 "Styles For Little Folks"
This is a group of childs clothing, mostly girls dresses and some infant gowns. Note the military influence, sashes, cording, buttons, and the little boy in his kilt has his bugle ready!"
HELL'S KITCHEN | WILLIAMSBURG | NYFW | NINH
some photos from our adventures outside of the upper west side.
hell's kitchen flea market: vintage rings & things, knick knacks, and fur! fur! fur!
i scored an amazing dark mahogany rabbit coat for a whopping $60! i bargained it down from $80. :)
took the L to Williamsburg, Brooklyn to see what all the fuss is about.
turns out, whoever said Brooklyn is the new Manhatten...
was from Brooklyn.
i hung out around the Lincoln Center for some star gazing & trend spotting during day 2 of NYFW. fierceness all around.
