let me just say that today, friday the 6th of august, was a good day. i've been in a slump the past few months due to the lack of direction i had with my career. it became clear to me that in order for me to really get what i want need, i had to go get it myself. no, i'm not talking about the material thangs. i'm talking about a JOB. so with life's balls in hand, i went out there...and got exactly what i needed..and then some.
ladies and gents, you are now looking at the FASHION EDITOR @ LOCALE MAGAZINE. an orange county, ca lifestyle quarterly, i will have free reign to write about fashion, style editorials, and .. anything else! sorry E + S, looks like NYC will have to wait..
maybe life isn't just black or white. but i can't help but dress the part. you know how i like to keep things simple.

Camilla Belle has been missing often on the red carpet, so imagine my disappointment when she shows up with this. I don't like it, I really don't like it. I know it's Carolina Herrera, but the skirt just screams cheap to me, especially the ruffles (shudder). Her hair is too messy as well, and I'm unconvinced with the nude heel.
Jessica Biel in Atelier VersaceI know so many of you love it, but I hate it. First, she removes the train, degrading it to a cocktail dress. Yes, the color is heavenly, the beading is spectacular, and your hair is clean. But you look boxy, and the shoes are a big miss. Not impressed. Also, the more I look at the hem, the more annoyed I get.
I NEVER would have had the courage to do that.

it's that time again to let go of the past and look forward to more shopping. with fall just around the corner, and with a few trips around the world in the coming months, i need to make some serious cash on the side to satisfy my appetite to indulge.

HAIR TODAY, BLOND TMRW
no, i am NOT going blonde, but the thought of it is a bit intriguing. lately i've been in a hair funk. given that i am very low maintenance when it comes to 'dos, i can't help but wonder what it'd be like if i were to dip-dye my locks like rumi or rachel, or apply pink streaks like dree, or maybe even go for (yet another) perm.
i'm going to let these thoughts simmer for a few days. until then, high top buns and fishtail braids will do the trick.

"I want to go someplace where I can marvel at something" -- eat, pray, love.
the one thing that makes me utterly happy (and sane!) is to travel. and i dont mean the occasional road trip to another part of town closeby. but really, to TRAVEL! sure, it's great to snag the season's must-have handbag or those killer heels but the joys of catching flights, meeting new people and trying different things..it's the best feeling ever!
