Style Stars Of 2010: My Choices

TThese are a few girls I've really enjoyed following on the red carpet this past 2010. Who were your style stars? Let me know.

New Years Wreath

Seriously? Look at that. Isn't it beautiful? I found it over at Straight Stitches, and she explains how she did it. So easy. And people, I am not a fan of white wreaths... I think they're ugly. But this... well, I will never look at a white wreath the same!

Little Boy Boston

No craft for today my friends. Brian and I spent the day with our naughty, but cute little boy Boston. He was been all sorts of fun these days... getting into kitchen cupboards, pouring milk out of his sippy and off the table, spitting food out of his mouth, whining and whining, and whining, and last but not least, screaming and crying to get out of his constraining car seat! Ha Ha!! All jokes aside, he is the sweetest boy when he wants to be!! He's so super cuddly, and loves being held. When he laughs, it's one of those heart melting belly laughs that destroys that tiny bit of anger you were holding inside you! Luckily, he laughs often. That little buddy, one of these days he'll be the death of me!! What I wouldn't do for him though, he's my everything.

Really you say, how could you be mad at a face like that?!

Can't you just see the menace in his eyes?!

There it is! AAAhahahhaha!!!

I'd love to know what you have all been up to! Link some crafts, or super cute outfits for me to see!!

Jennifer Connelly In Lanvin

Jennifer Connelly looks just beautiful at the Chicago premiere of "The Dilemma". She's glowing. I really like this soft, rather Grecian look which is so different from her usual edgy Balenciaga. Maternity suits her.

Emmanuelle Alt is the new Carine Roitfeld

i'm going to swim with the tides and also make my own special announcement (already posted here, here, & here) that Vogue Paris' fashion director EMMANUELLE ALT is now stepping up & taking the vacant space that CARINE ROITFELD left as editor in chief, effective February 1. this comes as no surprise. Alt has been with the mag since late 2000, and after ten years of doing such a great job, she's finally getting to have her name at the top of the masthead in the April issue of Vogue Paris. wow, there IS such thing as moving up in the magazine world. i now have hope.

i've always loved her style, as seen in one of this blog's earlier posts, here. but in spirit of this new news, i'll do homage to Emmanuelle, part deux.

BOSTON LETTERS

This one baby is all mine! Cute huh? Haha, I'm so proud!

How I did it: I bought the cheap cardboard letters from hobby lobby, decided how I wanted the paper on the letters (took for forever), modpodged the cardboard, applied the paper, let the paper dry on the letter and then I modpodged the top of the paper. After the letters were all dry, I added the buttons and other embellishments. I hung them up with those velcro sticky things you can buy at Walmart. You guys should definitely make your own!

I burnt the blue paper to give it that crackly/antiquey look!

Those are glass marbles that I modpodged the baseball paper to

If you have made your own set of name letters, I would LOVE to see them!! The more ideas of how to place paper and embellishments, I think the better!

The Sartorialist: Scott Schuman falls in love a little bit every day

the pioneer of fashion blogging steps from behind his camera and lets the world take a look at his world, through his lens. this seven-minute doc follows the Sartorialist on a normal day of "work" -- strolling around Manhatten, snapping away at people who catches his eye (even including a duct-taped boot clad construction worker).

"when i look at something, I don't think, 'Is that fashionable enough? Is that of the moment enough?'...

I'M JUST REACTING."

take a few moments to watch this. it's so inspiring.

Valentine's Wreath

K, I took the pictures of the craft I made all by myself... just didn't get around to uploading them on my computer. Tomorrow. Promise!

But aren't these so cute? I've got to bust out a movie, some delicious red felt and scissors for this baby! I think I'm in love. I found the idea from Eighteen25, and they found the idea from The Idea Room... so we've got some blog hops goin' around. Anyway, hope you love them as much as I do! Head on over to the idea room though, she's got a fantabulous tutorial and it really couldn't be easier. I'm so making my husband help me cut out circles while we watch Friday Night Lights!! :-)

Check out her decor! The red, white and pink candies in the apothecary jars... LOVE it! Oh and don't forget those cute plates.

Another great wreath idea, posted by the lovely Tatertots and Jello. She's got a tutorial over there as well. At first I thought the felt was cuter... but then I couldn't decide. And now I'm just torn. Maybe I'll have to make both! Haha!

And this one, found here. Love the decor. Check out the XO blocks...
