Style Crush: Camilla Belle

Camilla Belle isn't known much out of the U.S., but I couldn't help noticeing her on style blogs. Boy am I glad I did. The young actress is perfectly gorgeous and delievers brilliant red-carpet looks with surprising consistency.

Here below in Marchesea, Camilla Belle shows how to look elegant for the red carpet, and still deliver something young and fresh.

She stunns in the above three pictures, looking Jason Wu beautiful. Young, elegant but quirky. J'adore. Here and right above she wears Alexander Mcqueen, looking picture perfect. I especially love the way she took the above dress and transformed in into something soft and femminine as opposed to the runway styling, and still hold true to Mcqueen style.

the limited edition CK "Clueless" dress @ confederacy

CLUELESS is by far my #1 favorite movie of all time. i used to pop in the vhs after school every.single.day. and even though i was a 4th/5th grader, had no idea what an Alaia was, nor was old enough to shop at contempo casuals, I still managed to get my hands on knee-high socks and argyle sweaters to channel my inner Cher.

so when i saw that Confederacy was doing a limited edition release of the famous dress...
(cher's dad: what the hell is that? cher: it's a dress! dad: says who? cher: says Calvin Klein!)
i immediately was brought back to the days of Clueless..

the what-evers, the whiny radiohead music loved by josh, the rollin' with the homies, the outrageous plaid outfits, .. i can go on forever.

things to do today: watch Clueless (but dvd this time) :)

il est superbe, non ?

chanel "paris shanghai" | episode #2

the making of the paris-shanghai collection, debuted in december 2009, coinciding with the opening of the first chanel maison in china. coco chanel herself never had a chance to visit china, but through the eyes and scribbles of karl lagerfeld, i can imagine this collection would be close to what she'd imagine.

and while on the subject of chanel, i am also lusting for the 'temporary skin art' seen in the S/S RTW '09 show. said to last at least 75 days (sans exfoliating, i presume), i think these $75 tats are totally worth it. **

LES TROMPE-L'OEIL DE CHANEL available for a limited time @ chanel.com.
